On this page are a few examples of creations made during my learning phase at Cabrillo College under the instruction of Linda Watson-Abbot, a nationally known and respected Metals artist and an incredible teacher. It was a distinct priviledge to be a student of hers. Anyway, a few of her projects were not jewelry oriented at all, and focused on Small Scale Metalworks. The top two are fabricated by hand, and the bottom one is a combination of fabrication and casting, with a Montana Sapphire Pavé set into the casting. It's a scene of Yosemite Falls inside a doorway. The door is about 2" tall and made of mixed metals, and the very tiny hinges actually work. It was a definate challenge - especially getting the hinge-pins in. Enjoy.
