is the dramatic conclusion to the gift of one more masterpiece of a day. It's a time of reflection and contemplation, to slow down and be at peace within, and to be amazed at the beautiful life we have been blessed with.
These pictures were taken during various times of the year and over a number of years. Some show the sunset itself, and some show the effects of the lighting at this time of day. Some are taken here in the mountains, and some lower down on the coast. Each has it's own day behind it and each has a story to tell, but there is a commonality in them all - conclusion to a speck of life and the beginning of an evening meant for rest and preparation for the coming sunrise.
The picture above is called "Trinity" and is taken from the road coming into the studio. Unfortunately it is no longer a trinity as the woodpeckers killed one of the three Redwoods, and it finally fell down. The other two are also heavily damaged but still standing as of 2020.
